Pakistan Telecom to get IFC loan to buy Telenor Pakistan business
Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation said in a filing to the stock exchange that it will obtain a loan from the International Finance Corporation to purchase Telenor's Pakistan operations. The US$400 million debt financing agreement will be completed by July 31. In December 2023, Telenor Pakistan announced that it had signed a binding agreement with Telenor Group to acquire 100% of Telenor Pakistan at an enterprise value of PKR 108 billion.
