The Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a symposium on industrial economic operations in some provinces on April 28. Comrades responsible for industrial and information economic operations from 13 provinces (municipalities) including Beijing and Hebei attended the meeting. At the meeting, exchanges and discussions were conducted on the performance of the industrial economy in the first quarter, the main methods to stabilize growth, the outstanding problems and difficulties faced, and the analysis and judgment of the economic performance in the second quarter. Everyone believes that the industrial economy got off to a good start in the first quarter, with major economic indicators better than expected. The continued improvement in the second quarter is expected to continue, but it still faces difficulties and challenges such as the slow recovery of effective demand. The next step will be to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, increase policy implementation, strengthen operational monitoring and dispatch, and make every effort to consolidate the recovery and development trend of the industrial economy.
