The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue typhoon forecasts at 8 a.m. this morning. The center of this year's No. 9 typhoon "Skylark" was located on the northern sea surface of the East China Sea about 315 kilometers south-west of Jeju, South Korea at 8 a.m. this morning, with the maximum wind force near the center reaching level 8. It is expected that "Skylark" will move toward the north at a speed of about 30 to 35 kilometers per hour, with little change in intensity, and gradually approach the coast of the western part of the Korean Peninsula. Under its influence, from 8 a.m. today to 8 a.m. on the 21st, there will be 6-7 gales in the southeastern Yellow Sea, the East China Sea and the waters near the Diaoyu Islands, the sea east of Taiwan, the Taiwan Strait, the northeastern South China Sea, and the coastal areas of Shanghai, Hangzhou Bay, the coastal areas of Zhejiang, and the coastal areas of Fujian. The wind force in the nearby sea areas where the center of "Skylark" passes is level 8, and gusts can reach level 9-10.
